Dr. Sunil B. Mane
Dr. Sunil B. Mane is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering and Training & Placement Officer at COEP Technological University, Pune. His research interests include Information and Cyber Security, Machine and Deep Learning, Blockchain, and Data Analytics. His work has focused on security issues in outsourced database services, cybersecurity awareness, blockchain, and emerging technologies. He has contributed to the Information Security Education and Awareness (ISEA) projects supported by the Government of India and has been involved in initiatives on cybersecurity and blockchain. He has also undertaken industry training, consultancy, curriculum development, and academic activities in emerging technologies.

Dr. Chirag N. Modi
Dr. Chirag N. Modi is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering and Dean (Research & Consultancy) at the National Institute of Technology Goa. His research interests include Blockchain, Cryptography and Network Security, Information Security and Privacy, Cloud Security, and Smart Grid Energy and Asset Management. His research has focused on developing secure and privacy-preserving systems, blockchain applications, network and cloud security, and intelligent solutions for smart-grid infrastructure. He has authored numerous research publications and has contributed to research projects addressing security, privacy, blockchain, and emerging computing technologies.
Dr. Faruk A. S. Kazi
Dr. Faruk A. S. Kazi
Dr. Faruk A. S. Kazi is a Professor of Electrical Engineering at VJTI Mumbai. He is also the Faculty Coordinator of VJTI-TBI and serves as Chair of Working Group-3 on Digital Architecture and Cyber Security of the India Smart Grid Forum. His research focuses on cyber-physical systems, smart grids, control systems, and cybersecurity of critical infrastructure. His work includes cybersecurity for SCADA, Industrial Control Systems and Operational Technology, digital architecture for smart grids, and digital twins. He has led research and consultancy initiatives supported by organisations including ISRO, BARC, DRDO and DST.
Dr. Jatin Patel
Dr. Jatin Patel
Dr. Jatin Patel is Project Director I/c (Projects and Training) and Associate Professor of Information Technology at Rashtriya Raksha University, School of Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence & Cyber Security. He is a cybersecurity expert whose work focuses on cyber defence, network security, cyber-range simulations, and cybersecurity capacity building. He has led national and international projects involving organisations such as the National Cyber Security Coordinator, NCIIPC, and the Ministry of External Affairs. His work includes designing cyber exercises, developing cyber-range environments, conducting specialised cybersecurity training, and implementing capacity-building programmes aimed at strengthening cybersecurity preparedness and resilience across government and critical sectors.
About TCA2I
Leveraging the benefits of Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning Techniques
The TechnoCraft Centre for Applied Artificial Intelligence (TCA2I) was established at IIT Bombay in June 2021. The centre focuses on research areas such as Operations Research, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, and Automation, with a strong emphasis on practical applications in industrial contexts.
Artificial Intelligence is expected to be a major driver of economic and social progress in various industries in the coming years. Through this centre, IIT Bombay aims to be a leader in applied AI and support the national goal of achieving leadership in this field, leveraging the expertise of its faculty in AI, Data Science, Machine Learning, and Optimization.
In addition to research and development initiatives, the centre will promote awareness of AI applications and offer certificate programs and customized courses for industry professionals.
