The Technocraft Centre for Applied Artificial Intelligence (TCAAI), IIT Bombay, successfully concluded the inaugural cohort of its 5-month Generative AI Programme, delivered in collaboration with Great Learning, with a certificate distribution ceremony held on 19th July 2026 at the IIT Bombay campus.

Designed for working professionals from diverse industries, the programme offered participants a comprehensive learning experience that combined academic rigour with practical, industry-oriented applications of Generative AI. Over the course of five months, learners engaged with emerging AI technologies, explored real-world use cases, and developed the knowledge and skills required to navigate the rapidly evolving AI landscape.

The certificate distribution ceremony was graced by Mr. Ajey Mehta, CEO, Education Outreach (EO), IIT Bombay, along with the programme faculty, Prof. Manjesh Kumar Hanawal, Prof. Balamurugan Palaniappan, Prof. Biplap, and Mr. Rohan Chandak, Programme Director. The event was also attended by Mr. Ashish Tripathi, one of the programme’s Industry Experts and Guest Lecturers.

The ceremony provided an opportunity for participants to meet the faculty and fellow learners in person, exchange ideas, strengthen professional networks, and experience the vibrant academic environment of IIT Bombay after five months of online learning.

The successful completion of the inaugural cohort reflects TCAAI’s continued commitment to delivering high-quality, industry-relevant programmes that bridge academic excellence with practical application. Through collaborations with leading academic and industry partners, the Centre continues to equip professionals with the knowledge and capabilities required to lead and innovate in an AI-driven world.
