A91 Eco Hub
The A91 Eco Hub will house the Technocraft Centre for Applied Artificial Intelligence (TCA2I), helping the Institute bridge the gap between academia and industry to harness the power of AI, Machine Learning, Data Sciences, and Automation.
Designed to encourage collaboration across different fields, the A91 Eco Hub will also host the Departments of Economics, Humanities & Social Sciences (HSS), and Industrial Engineering & Operations Research (IEOR).
We are deeply grateful to our esteemed alumni – Mr. Abhay Pandey, Dr. Sharad Kumar Saraf, and Mr. Sudarshan Saraf – for their generous contributions towards the transformation of IIT Bombay.
A New Chapter Unfolds at IIT Bombay with the A91 Eco Hub
IIT Bombay's campus is evolving! The campus is enhancing its learning environment to foster innovation and academic excellence. The A91 Eco Hub, a state-of-the-art facility, marks a key milestone in this transformation, made possible by the generous support of our alumni.

IIT Bombay is continuously improving its campus to create better learning spaces that encourage innovation and academic excellence. A major step in this effort was the opening of the new A91 Eco Hub on October 14, 2024.
The A91 Eco Hub is designed to bring together different fields of study. It will be home to the Department of Economics, Humanities and Social Sciences (HSS), and Industrial Engineering and Operations Research (IEOR). It will also house the Technocraft Centre for Applied Artificial Intelligence (TCA2I), which aims to connect academic research with industry needs to create impactful AI solutions.
This new facility will help nurture future scholars and leaders, especially as Economics has become the fourth most popular subject at IIT Bombay. The A91 Eco Hub provides a space where students can collaborate and work on complex economic issues, further supporting IIT Bombay’s goal of developing future thought leaders.
The project was made possible through the generous donations of alumni, including Mr. Abhay Pandey, Mr. Sudarshan Kumar Saraf, and Dr. Sharad Kumar Saraf, who is the current Chairperson of IIT Bombay’s Board of Governors. The Institute is thankful for their vision and support.
